# Vallavägen 4C Linköping: student flats at Irrblosset *bobbo* *23 oktober 2026* > Vallavägen 4C is a 2016/2017 student housing building at Irrblosset, Östra Valla. Vallavägen 4C in Linköping is a student housing building in the Irrblosset block in the Östra Valla district, postcode 582 15. The building is managed by Studentbostäder i Linköping (SBiL), a subsidiary of Stångåstaden, and only students at Linköping University can rent here. The flats are let through SBiL's own housing queue, based on queue points. ## Vallavägen 4C: location and surroundings Irrblosset lies between the city centre and the university. According to Studentbostäder, it is about 1.1 kilometres to Campus Valla, 1.6 kilometres to the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (Hälsouniversitetet) and 2.5 kilometres to the travel centre. The cycle path to campus runs through Vallaskogen. Östra Valla is one of Linköping's western districts. The student pub VilleValla Pub is at the same address, Vallavägen 4C. ## The building and the flats at Vallavägen 4C Vallavägen 4C belongs to the newer part of Irrblosset. SBiL's listings for the address describe the flats as built in 2016/2017. The construction was part of a project of 218 new student flats in three buildings, which Studentbostäder contracted from Gärahovs Bygg in 2015. The first stage was inaugurated in September 2016. According to the listings, the building has a laundry room and several study rooms. As an Irrblosset resident you can also book the gym, sauna and billiards room in the area. In total, Studentbostäder has almost 800 student homes at Irrblosset, mostly flats but also a smaller share of corridor rooms. ## What does a flat at Vallavägen 4C cost? The rent depends on the size of the flat and where it is in the building. Two 37-square-metre two-room flats let in July and August 2026 had rents of SEK 9,512 and SEK 9,746 per month. All of SBiL's student housing leases are signed with a ten-month rent. This means June and July are rent-free, provided the lease starts no later than 1 May and the May rent is paid. If your lease starts between 2 May and 31 July, you do not get the rent-free months in the first year. ## How to apply for a flat at Vallavägen 4C You cannot apply for a specific address in advance. You apply for the vacant homes SBiL publishes on a rolling basis, and the person with the most queue points among those interested gets the offer. 1. **Register in SBiL's housing queue.** It is free and possible from the year you turn 17, before you are admitted. 2. **Collect queue points.** You get one point per day in the queue. Log in at least once every six months, or you lose your points. 3. **Register interest.** Once you are admitted to Linköping University, you can register interest in up to five homes per publication period. 4. **Reply to the offer within four days.** No reply counts as a no. If you turn down five offers within a year, your points are reset. 5. **Sign the lease** digitally with BankID. You must be 18 by then. ## Requirements for renting from Studentbostäder To live at Vallavägen 4C you must meet SBiL's rental policy: - You study at Linköping University, at least 15 credits per semester. SBiL carries out study checks. - You are 18 or older when the lease is signed. - You have an acceptable income, for example from CSN, and no rent debts. Without income, a guarantor may be accepted after an individual assessment. - You have valid home insurance. The home is temporary transitional housing for a maximum of six years, with a possible extension for doctoral students. Only one person can be on the lease. ## After your studies If you live with Studentbostäder, you can transfer up to six years of tenancy as queue points to Stångåstaden's regular housing queue, provided your leases followed directly on from each other. It is worth joining both queues from the start.
